Old Town Adventures

Walking through the streets of Old Town Toronto, it’s easy to get lost among the vintage architecture. From pawn shops from the 80’s to cathedrals.

East of King street is beautiful St. James Park, placed perfectly among this gorgeous part of the city. A bust of Robert Gourlay, Scottish-Canadian writer and activist, is the highlight of the park.

Back on King Street, the famous St. Lawrence Market looms in the distance. Past that, Toronto’s own Flatiron Building, not quite as famous as a certain one in New York, but just as majestic.

Speaking of majestic, the Hockey Hall of Fame highlights the whole experience, and without even having to go in, you can see jerseys of hockey greats in the mall upstairs.

After hiking up the longest street in the world, you wouldn’ think it would be easy to miss a giant “L” shaped building, but it’s easier than one would think. The famous Sony Centre for the Performing Arts has been a staple in Toronto since 1960.

Heading back up Front Street, you can once again see St. James Cathedral through the buildings, serving as a reminder of how much fun a school assignment can be.
